Optical Communication group (OPTCOM)

The Optical Communications (OPTCOM) Group core activity has always been focused on fiber optics high-speed transmission systems. Moreover, OPTCOM jointly owns with other POLITO groups ( and ) and Istituto Superiore Mario Boella a new state-of-the-art experimental facility called PhotonLab, a 250 square meter optical laboratory encompassing a clean room for optoelectronic devices characterization, and a large room for fiber optic transmission experiments. About 4 MEuro of test-and-measurement equipments are deployed there.
