Microwave Sensors and Materials
The research group deals with various topics on characterization and applications of carbon-based materials (carbon nanotubes, graphene and biochar) at microwave frequency. Furthermore, the problem of soil moisture retrieval is investigated applying Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry (GNSS-R) and machine learning technique. The group manages the Microwaves and remote sensing laboratory (MiReSLab).
Research topics
- Concrete loaded with graphene or biochar for shielding applications
- Electromagnetic characterization of materials
- Films loaded with Carbon-based materials (sensors and tunable devices)
- Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry (GNSS-R)
