Navigation, Signal Analysis and Simulation (NavSAS) Group
Research related to signal analysis, simulation and digital signal processing. The main area of interests is the signal processing applied to Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BEIDOU), including the design of algorithms and innovative architecture for satellite navigation receivers. Together with the Navigation Technologies area of the LINKS foundation <http://linksfoundation.com>, the group manages the NavSAS Laboratory. Research addresses the following topics:
Research topics
- Design of satellite navigation receivers
- GNSS for environmental and atmospheric monitoring
- GNSS positioning security
- Low-latency high-bandwidth cellular communication channels for cloud robotics in precision agriculture applications
- Service robotics and enabling technologies for cooperation and support in human activities
- Signal processing for atomic timing in global navigation satellite systems
