Nanosatellites
The group is developing, together with other groups at Politecnico and a few local SMEs a modular platform for very low cost nano- and microsatellites. In particular the group is developing a power management and attitude control module, which is based on commercial low cost devices from the automotive industry, after a preliminary screening based on radation tolerance tests. The activity will terminate with the design and test of a modular “tile” containing solar panels, rechargeable batteries, attitude sensors and actuators. The covered topics are:
Research topics
- Antenna measurements
- Cardiac cryoablation
- Development of student satellite missions
- High level codesign methods
- Highly parallel architectures
- Low-cost space systems and technologies
- Measurement systems for lyophilization process monitoring
- Radar system design and prototyping
- Real time locating systems design and prototyping
- Test systems for low-cost space systems
- Zero Robotics competition
