Hardware and Software solutions to reduce the electromagnetic emission of power modules

The continuous trend toward the miniaturization of power modules along with the need to increase the efficiency level has led to develop fast switching circuits based on wide bandgap devices (GaN, SiC), which generate high level of electromagnetic pollutions. Such issues are usually addressed using EMI filters and electromagnetic shields, but these increase sizes and costs. This research line aims to address these issues with low cost and flexible solutions,  such as that based on the software alignment of power signals.
