Design of observers for nonlinear systems

A problem found in several control and identification applications is the reconstruction of the unmeasurable state variables by the measures of the accessible ones.  The proposed research activity will focus on the design of observers for nonlinear plants that are able to reconstruct the current state of the system just on the basis of the model and of the accessible measures. The research activity will deal also with the application of nonlinear techniques to improve the effectiveness of observers for linear systems.
