Best Student Paper award won by Nastaran Soleimani - EMC group

Ph.D. candidate Nastaran Soleimani received the Best Paper award (€ 1000) in the Student Paper competition of the International Conference on Electromagnetic and Multiphysics Modeling and Optimization (NEMO2022) sponsored by IEEE MTT Society and held in Limoges (France) July 6-8, 2022, with the paper “Vector-Valued Kernel Ridge Regression for the Modeling of High-Speed Links.”
The winning paper, titled “Vector-Valued Kernel Ridge Regression for the Modeling of High-Speed Links” (co-authored with R. Trinchero and F. Canavero) describes an original technique for training multi-output surrogate models able to predict the frequency behaviour of a high-speed link affected by several parameters with a large variability
