Microwaves and Remote Sensing Laboratory (MiReSLab)
The Microwaves and Remote Sensing Laboratory is active in many different research topics, with important applications in the fields of communications, sensors, electromagnetic compatibility and aerospace. Many activities deal with the study of carbon-based materials (nanotubes, graphene, and biomass) at microwave frequency. Their applications include film for sensors and tunable devices, as well as fillers in cement-based composites. Other research activities are related to GNSS-R for soil moisture retrieval.
Keywords: graphene; biomass; sensors; tunable devices; permittivity measurements; shielding effectiveness; GNSS-Reflectometry; soil moisture.
