The cluster focuses on solutions ranging from micro-nano electronics to the development of intelligent systems, including the most recent technologies related to quantum electronics.
Its activities extend from the creation of Architectures and Integrated Circuits to the design of Embedded or IoT Devices and Systems, applied to various technology fields such as Biomedical and Climate-Smart Agriculture. Some of its laboratories work on the development of Digital, Analog and Power Electronic Circuits, including Beyond-CMOS technologies, with a focus on quantum computing, molecular electronics, and circuits immune to electromagnetic interference.
It promotes the design of wearable or implantable electronic systems, applied artificial intelligence, and human-machine interaction. The laboratories within it represent excellence in research, developing innovative solutions to transform the technological sector. Areas of expertise include the development of CAD tools for advanced technologies, the design of artificial intelligence algorithms for beamforming and real-time audio signal classification, and the design of integrated circuits for digital signal processing and nanoscale devices for computing and sensing. Electronic integration and packaging are subject to intensive testing, ensuring the optimization and reliability of developed systems. The interdisciplinary approach allows the cluster to tackle complex challenges and promote innovation across various sectors, providing advanced and customized technological solutions.
