Biography

Graduated in computer engineering, during my studies I mainly focused on software engineering, artificial intelligence and data science. My passion for research, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, led me to complete my master's thesis at Serco Group, where I worked on the development of a Deep Learning model for super-resolution of satellite imagery and for the creation of a new dataset made of Sentinel-2 and Proba-V multispectral images. After graduation, I worked for a year as a Deep Learning researcher at the IPL research group (PoliTo), with a focus on computer vision models applied to remote sensing imagery and on the development of efficient models through quantization techniques and deployment on low-power hardware.

I am currently doing a PhD in Deep Learning, result of a joint project between the Politecnico di Torino and the European Space Agency. The goal of the project is to create an efficient deep learning model that is capable of running on board a satellite to perform change detection tasks with low latency. Although my research and work experience is mainly on satellite imagery, I am passionate about Artificial Intelligence in general and enjoy working on any kind of data, with a particular flair for computer vision.
