Biography

Fabio Faliero is a PhD student specializing in the field of control systems for robotics and aerospace applications at Politecnico di Torino. He embarked on his academic journey in 2015, earning a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. Building on this foundation, he pursued advanced studies in Mechatronic Engineering. During his Master's thesis project, he applied Nonlinear Model Predictive Control (NMPC) algorithms for Autonomous Drive solutions. Between 2019 and 2021, he held the positions of Research Fellow and subsequently Research Associate. During this period, he contributed to the ISWEC project, focusing on studying and developing control algorithms aimed at enhancing wave energy recovery systems. Currently, his research activities are centered on exploring optimal and robust control algorithms. Specifically, he is engaged in studying the application of these algorithms to cooperative robotic systems, addressing challenges posed by system uncertainties, unmodeled dynamics, and external environmental disturbances.
