Biography

I am currently immersed in pioneering work focused on the Internet of Things (IoT) and its transformative impact. My endeavors revolve around leveraging Low-Power Wide-Area Networks (LPWAN), specifically the widely utilized LoRa and LoRaWAN technologies, to enhance IoT applications. Primarily, my focus lies in agricultural applications, addressing challenges in areas with unreliable LTE network coverage. By deploying sensors, e.g. meteorological stations in vineyards, I aim to facilitate efficient data exchange with minimal energy consumption. Additionally, my work explores the diverse applications of LoRaWAN without duty-cycle limitations, as part of the RESTART initiative, supported by the European Union under the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) of NextGenerationEU.
