Biografia

Giuseppe Caruso got his Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering in February 2018 and received his Master’s degree (with honors) in Communications and Computer Network Engineering in December 2019, both at Politecnico di Torino. His Master’s Thesis dealt with developing a software simulator of VCSELs for datacenters and was in part carried out at PhotonLab facilities and was supervised by Prof. Roberto Gaudino and Dr. Pierluigi Debernardi.
In November 2020 he becomes a PhD candidate in the Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering Doctorate program at Politecnico di Torino, specifically an Industrial PhD position in the Optical Access Networks group at the Huawei Research Center in Munich and under the supervision of Roberto Gaudino, Valter Ferrero and Giuseppe Rizzelli.
His research interests include Optical Communication systems and Digital Signal Processing, with a main focus on passive optical networks.
