CCQOTS Feasibility study of an optical Earth-satellite quantum communication channel

This project intends to:

  • systematically study the atmospheric effects in order to verify the usability of a quantum communication channel with different climatic situations; in this way it will be possible to clearly understand where and how long such a communication channel could be established with profit.
  • study specific "information reconciliation" schemes, optimized for the channel under examination.
