Quantum communications

The group is involved in the study of quantum key distribution, secure single-photon communication and information reconciliation for QKD applications. A group participant coordinates the international NATO project “Secure communication using quantum information systems”,  whose participants are, apart from Politecnico di Torino, the Lomonosov State University (Moscow, Russia), the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics (Kiev, Ucraina), I.N.R:I:IM: (Torino, Italy) and the California State University (Los Angeles, US).

The main objective of the project are the study and implementation of coding in higher-dimension (d>2) Hilbert spaces, and study of the propagation of non-classical states and security of protocols.
