Low-cost RF electronics and sensor interfaces
The group has recently started a research line (support of Regione Piemonte, NAMATECH project) on the modeling, simulation and design of RF circuits (in particular, RFIDs) implemented on low-cost organic technologies. A SPICE library on an organic TFT process has been developed and a number of RFID subsystems have been designed. The activity is also connected with other research lines on organic semiconductors, like the one on organic solar cells.
Within the framework of a cooperation with ENI and the Department of Material Science the group has developed a set of sensor interface designs on low-cost electronics for the development of monitoring systems in oil pipelines and wells.
