ElectroChemiLuminescent Sensors

ElectroChemiLuminescence (ECL) is a very important method used in detection in a wide number of applications, from biomedical analysis up to chemical characterization. ECL generates a light as output signal, but this is stimulated by an electric field, produced using an elecrical circuits with usually 2 or 3 electrodes. Have been developed different detection systems, most of them based on Ruthenium chemistry. Dedicated systems have been implemented, in particular in the field of biomedical applications for DNA analysis and for immunoassays.

On this topic 3 articles have been published in international reviews and 5 papers have been presented to various conferences.
