Air pollutant measuring systems
The main goal of this research is the development of new facilities for the calibration of pollutant measuring units. Such facilities are based on specifically designed traveling standards that allows the calibration to be performed without removing the pollutant measuring units from the site where they are installed.
A prototype of traveling standard has been developed, which is composed of one or more cylinders that contain gas mixtures, a cell equipped with standard sensors and a control unit with networking capabilities, which allows the traveling standard to be remotely exercised. A preliminary metrological characterization of the prototype has been also performed.
