Energy awareness in the design of core optical networks

This in to announce that on Monday, September, 12th at 2PM in the DET meeting room at 1st floor, old DET site, Dr. Arsalan Ahmad will give a talk titled "Energy awareness in the design of core optical networks".
Arsalan Ahmad received his MS degree in Communication Engineering in 2010 and his Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2014, both from the Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy. He is currently a faculty member at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST-SEECS), Islamabad, Pakistan where he teaches classes on Computer Networks and Optical Networks. His main research interests are in optical networks, energy efficiency in network planning and physical layer aware network design.
