Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is the backbone of the telecommunication and computer world. At Politecnico di Torino, the ICT area is covered by the activities of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET) and of the Department of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN). Teaching in the ICT sector (electronics, information science, telecommunications, automation) is jointly provided by staff (professors and researchers) of these two Departments.
Research at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET) includes the fields of electronics, telecommunications, optoelectronics, circuit theory, electromagnetic fields, bioengineering and electronic measurements.
The Department is the main reference for bachelor and master level courses in electronic engineering, telecommunications engineering, information engineering and telematics offered by Politecnico; it also provides teaching support in its own subjects to other bachelor or master curricula offered by the Schools of Engineering of Politecnico.
