Micro&nano sensors: semiconductor sensors

The research field investigates semiconductor devices for sensing applications, such as metal-oxide nanowires, silicon nanowires, and carbon nanotubes. Physical and fabrication process simulations are used to understand and optimize sensor structure and performance. Simulation results permit creating models that are useful for designing sensors and front-end electronics. Experimental activities are also exploited to fabricate devices and to support and validate models and results.
