Machine Learning for Network measurement and management

The  velocity,  variety  and  volume  of  data  carried  by  the  internet  naturally  calls  for  Big  Data  approaches, coupled with specific Machine Learning analytics to extract value from such data.

Our  research  group  has  long  experience  in  Internet  traffic  monitoring,  with  applications  to  management,  quality  of  service  and  experience,  and  in  general  in  understanding  the  complicated  system  the  Internet  is  today.  Solutions  covers  both  technology  suitable  for  monitoring  (e.g.,  able  to  cope  with  40xGbp/s  using  common  hardware),  and  distributed  platforms,  (e.g.,  how  to  coordinate  data  collections  from  millions  of  nodes),  and  machine  learning /artificial intelligence  algorithms  to  extract  knowledge  from  the  raw  data.
